let's face it...The thought of putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, if you will) to develop technical documentation for your clients, or creating whitepapers, case histories and blog content is not for the faint of heart. It can be a rather daunting task for someone who isn't technical, or comfortable doing that kind of copywriting, or who doesn't have the time, patience or manpower it takes to do a really good job.
It certainly isn't a job for your developers or programmers. It is no secret that there is a disconnect that happens when developers (who are highly technical and use highly technical language most of the time) try to explain how systems work to the average user. In addition, there's more to it than typing words on paper. Unless you're a jack of all trades, you'll need someone to write and edit the material, to develop and insert graphics, to do a cover design and design the internal layout of the piece. Most importantly, you'll need someone who understands IT projects and can embed themselves seamlessly with your technical team, so that your clients get the maximum benefit from your products or services. If this speaks to you, and you could use a writer who understands IT, give us a call. |
My History |
I've been privileged to work on some pretty amazing projects for agencies such as CBP, FAA, DoD/VA and others. One of them was a high profile Wounded Warrior project that won a Fed100 award, and the documentation developed placing 3rd at an AMSUS Conference. All of these positions, without exception, required written documentation, and while initially I may not have been hired to perform that work, my understanding of IT coupled with my writing skills definitely came in handy for my customers!
I love the IT arena and feel that I have much to offer in terms of past performance and advice. Armed with this understanding and ability to write, I've made it my mission to provide the kind of copywriting support that I believe will be helpful to IT companies who have clients in the public and/or private sectors. |
